Prof. George Wajackoyah, the head of the Roots party, is now urging President William Ruto to properly investigate the bhang industry in order to ascertain its earnings and how those gains may be utilised to strengthen the economy.

Wajackoyah, who spoke on Monday in Emuhaya, suggested that the President Ruto-led administration legalise bhang for industrial, commercial, and medical uses.

He continued by saying that the National Treasury's coffers, which he said are now mostly empty, might be refilled with the money generated by bhang for these three purposes.

The former presidential candidate also wants the country's security agencies to stop prosecuting people who grow marijuana and call it medicine instead.

Also, the Roots Party's divisive leader says that snake farming is a multibillion-dollar business that needs to be looked into for the good of the people and the country.

Wajackoyah continued by saying that he later spoke with the Baringo Governor about the issue and got assurances that the county had enough snakes that could be raised and their venom sold.

For commercialization, industrialization and medicinal use…kuvuta sio kitu, inavutwa ata leo.
