Pictures of a Ksh2.7 billion house connected to former President Uhuru Kenyatta that was ostensibly his retirement home in Narok County went viral on social media.

There were rumours that Uhuru might move into the 1,000-acre property in Oloolmongi, Trans Mara. Online users from Kenya stated that the home was located in the Maasai Mara.

It is known that the home in Thousand Oaks, California, is the residence of Canadian ice hockey star Wayne Gretzky. The cost of the residence is Ksh2.7 billion.

Despite internet rumours that Uhuru had just bought the property, a reverse search discovered that the picture was initially posted online in 2012 on www.calgaryherald.com.

Recent images that showed Uhuru enjoying his retirement years in Narok sparked rumours. He booked a lunch appointment at Zebu Lounge for 10 guests on Thursday, October 13.

The former President and his delegation surprised the hotel personnel by making a big entrance during a routine reservation for roughly 10 people, the staff member said.

He also paid an unexpected visit to Partakilat Primary School, where he delivered on a pledge he made when serving as president by giving the school a 53-seater bus.

According to reports, Uhuru is going to relocate to the Transmara retirement residence he allegedly bought from the Olerien and Kengani company in 2020.

The ranch offers visitors a distinctive perspective of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. On his second parcel of property in the county, the former president is reportedly alleged to have built a multibillion-dollar tourist resort.
