Seven years after they split up, Betty Kyallo lamented her unsuccessful marriage with Dennis Okari.
Betty pondered how her marriage fell apart so quickly in an interview with Dr King’ori after dating Okari for four long years.
“I’m still trying to understand how everything transpired. Before getting married, we were dating for four years, but after just six months, everything broke down,” Betty said.
The mother of one furthermore conjectured that her marriage fell apart after just six months because of her white wedding dress.
She said, “I can’t help but wonder if there’s a problem with that white dress.”
Betty expressed her belief in the African myth that bragging or talking excessively about something might bring ill luck, implying that it may have contributed to her marital problems.
The 34-year-old also said that forcing a broken relationship won’t work since there are times when things are just not meant to be.
Regarding her sister Betty’s short marriage, Mercy Kyallo made a light joke about how similar it was to a school course.
“Was it a course or what—six months of marriage? ” Grace said.
Before being married, Okari and Betty had a daughter named Ivanna during their four-year relationship.
Soon after Ivanna was born, the couple resolved to be married. On October 2, 2015, they exchange vows in a vibrant ceremony.
However, just six months after being married, Betty and Okari parted ways. There were allegations that their split was due to her being unfaithful.
Betty and Okari both moved on with their respective careers and started seeing other individuals after their marriage ended in April 2016.
In a ceremony that was exclusively open to guests and conducted at a venue on Kiambu Road, Okari was wedded to Joy Naomi in February 2019.
Betty also had relationships with solicitors like Nick Ndeda. She is presently seeing a mystery guy, whose real name she has not disclosed.
