The family is getting ready to bury her today at her Portreitz home, where her corpse has been brought.
Omar Mwinyi, a member of parliament from Changamwe, lost his wife, Rukiya Khatib.
It is said that on Monday night, she became unexpectedly unwell and was sent to Pandya Hospital, where she succumbed to an overwhelming illness.
The family is getting ready to bury her today at her Portreitz home, where her corpse has been brought.
After the 1 p.m. prayer, Rukiya will be laid in the Mwingo place, as stated by Ibrahim Kilai, the MP’s personal assistant.
Leaders have not stopped commemorating Rukiya.
On Tuesday morning, the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) sent Mwinyi the following sympathy message:
“We are saddened by the passing of your cherished wife, Mama Rikiya Khatib Ali the wife of Hon. Omar Mwinyi, Member of Parliament for Changamwe.
“We offer our condolences to you and your family at this very painful time of loss and ask Allah SWT to give you serenity.”
