Rita Tinina, a prominent NTV journalist, passed away. The announcement stunned the media community, and Nation Media Group in particular.
Rita’s corpse was found at her Kileleshwa home on Sunday afternoon, although the reason for her death was not immediately known. Rumours say that she had high blood pressure.
She was supposed to be on duty on Sunday, according to her coworkers at NTV, but she didn’t turn up and was unreachable by phone.
One of her coworkers told Capital FM News, “Unusually, she is not at work and no one understands her movements; that is what triggered the look for her that led to the revelation.”
“She was found dead in her home, unfortunately.” Her housegirl called a few acquaintances around 11 a.m. after becoming worried, according to the police.
At 5:00 p.m., her corpse was brought to Umash Funeral Home. As of the time of publishing, her employer, the Nation Media Group, which owns NTV, had not issued a comment on her passing; nevertheless, other journalists with whom we talked verified the tragic news.
She began her career in the media more than 20 years ago at NTV and then moved on to KTN. She returned to NTV in October of the previous year.
