A family in Homa Bay County’s Ndhiwa constituency is fighting for justice for their 17-year-old daughter, who allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of a gang of six men.
The event happened on Monday night in Homa Bay Town, and the woman was taken with wounds to Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital, where she is presently being treated.
The youngster left her Ndhiwa home two weeks ago, and her mother was reportedly clueless as to where she had gone.
The girl said that while out on foot in Homa Bay Town at night, the males accosted her and violated her adjacent to a pub.
She said that one of the guys attempted to coerce her to consume acid on her genitalia after the event, and they then allegedly took her to another place.
The Children’s Officer for Homa Bay Sub-County, Joseph Otieno, said his office is working with security personnel to find the culprits after receiving details concerning the event.
