Bamburi cement has been the giant and steering cement company. Today there are dozens of companies in Kenya.
Next month Bamburi cement is expected to lay 200 employees in a statement read yesterday. The company retrenchment comes after restructuring process in the company.
Lafarge growth director Laurent Noel stated that the company will restructure because competition has increased, they will also introduce new products as well to the market to try best the competitors.
Bamburi cement is under Lafarge Kenya management. It’s another company restructuring and laying off workers among many who did the same couple of months ago.
