Ledama Olekina and Azimio Politicians are Shamed by Wafula Chebukati.
Wafula Chebukati still has the events of August 15, 2022, at the Bomas of Kenya lodged in his subconscious.
The former head of the IEBC explained to the Portuguese audience how lawmakers led by Senator Ledama Olekina of Narok presented a significant obstacle to his constitutional obligations.
Chebukati was asked to present at a conference in Lisbon on election best practices and the use of technology to produce reliable polls.
Lisbon – Wafula Chebukati, the former head of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has continued his campaign against many politicians from Azimio La Umoja, alleging that they caused chaos when the results of the 2022 presidential election were announced.
The former head of the International Elections Bureau (IEBC) informed the Portuguese audience that the actions of the Azomio MPs during the elections contributed to impunity.
Chebukati was in the Portuguese capital to give a speech on the best practices for elections and the contribution of technology to reliable polling.
This was done at the Portuguese Electoral Commission’s request.
Using a three-minute film shot at the Kenyan Bomas as support, Chebukati clarified in his presentation how the politicians undermined the smooth electoral process that had been established.
He said that by attempting to prevent the commission from carrying out its mandate, the opposition lawmakers led by Siaya governor James Orengo and Senator Ledama Olekina of Narok were encouraging lawlessness.
“I showed this video clip from the August 15, 2022, Kenya 2022 Presidential Declaration Event during my keynote speech and asked: Can technology end impunity?” Under the video, Chebukati wrote a caption.
