China’s President Xi Jinping claims that Beijing rejected American attempts to incite Beijing to invade Taiwan.

Although President Joe Biden attempted to incite China to invade Taiwan, the issue was settled amicably.

In a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen last year, China’s President Xi Jinping said that the US was attempting to “bait” Beijing into attacking Taiwan.

Many people with knowledge of the conversation that President Xi warned Ms. von der Leyen about in April 2023 informed The Financial Times about it.

President Xi declared that despite the US’s attempts to trick China into attacking Taiwan, China refused to succumb to the deception.

China’s President Xi Jinping informed European Commission President Ursula Con der Leyen that the US was trying to “induce Beijing” into launching an assault on Taiwan.

According to the site, a number of Chinese scholars and retired military commanders have also asserted that Washington is trying to exert pressure on Beijing by arming Taiwan and using other strategies to draw the communist superpower into a military confrontation.

Cui Tiankai, the former Chinese ambassador to Washington, made a thinly veiled jab at the US when he told the Asia Society in January that China would not “fall into the trap whomever may be preparing for us.”

Jude Blanchette, an American foreign policy analyst and expert on China affairs who holds the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), stated that President Xi was either receiving false intelligence or had established a “knowledge void.”

The Chinese embassy in Washington, D.C., which asserted that the US was arming “independence separatist forces” in Taiwan, did not respond to President Xi’s statement.
