Denmark and other 4 European countries suspend AstraZeneca vaccine usage over blood clotting

Danish health authority stopped the use of AstraZeneca’s vaccine after reports from some patients to have developed blood clots after receiving the jab.

” Following reports of severe cases of blood clots among people vaccinated with AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine, the State has resolved by suspending the vaccine,” the Danish Health Authority said in a statement. 

” It has not been determined, at the time being, that there is a link between the vaccine and the blood clots. However, the patients who recieved the dose developed thrombosis, ” the authority stated.

Other country like Austria announced on Monday that it had suspended the use of a batch of AstraZeneca vaccines after a 49-year-old nurse died of “severe blood clotting problems” days after receiving an anti-Covid shot.

Six other European countries including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Luxemburg have also suspended the use of that vaccines which was sent to 17 European countries and consisting of one million jabs.
