Former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Dennis Waweru has lost the Dagoretti South Jubilee parliamentary nomination to a comedian. Waweru lost to comedian John Kiarie popularly known as KJ.
The Comedian who was campaigning for the Dagoretti seat after Dennis Waweru announced to bid for the gubernatorial race. KJ took the chance and had a serious campaign which bore fruits after he beat the incumbent Deniss Waweru with 9,793 votes compared Waweru’s 9,051 votes.
The Dogorreti member of Parliament lost in both areas; Gubernatorial and failed to defend his current seat. John Kiarie will face the other opponents from the other parties come August General elections.
