The doctors now get back to work starting from midnight today according to the return to work formula signed today by the Council of governors. According to the chairman of the council of governors Hon Peter Munya, the doctors are expected to be back to work by midnight today.
The KMPDU secretary general Dr Ouma Olunga said that the strike has been called off and they will get to work tomorrow. The talks still continue until Monday next week to finalise some pending issues.
The government through the health cabinet secretary Dr Cleopa Mailu has issued a statement that some issues that the doctors raised with good faith will be implemented in the Next financial year.
The governors also vowed to support them unless the national government refuse to give them budget. The doctors who had on 100 days strike added that will still engage with the government because they have shown an interest in sabotaging the talk or else next month they will be on the street again.
