Earthquake halts Madaraka Express train (SGR) at Voi for hours -Taita Taveta

Madaraka Express train service passengers were on Wednesday stuck for an hour at the Ndii area in Voi.

That was after series of earth tremors(Earthquake) rocked Taita Taveta, throwing the 5-hour journey into doubt.

The journey stopped forcing authorities began on inspecting the railway to determine whether it had been affected by the earthquake.

It was not until the multi-agency team gave the green light that the train was allowed to leave the station.
