Ganda ward by-election in Malindi constituency becomes a hot contended county seat. The ODM candidate gets a big blow after the Kilifi county governor Amason Kingi declined to rally behind him.

The governor said that he will not involve himself in any political campaigns in the county by-elections.
The County has two by-elections; Ganda ward and Dabaso Ward.
He directed the people from the two wards to elect MCA’s who will take the county forward.
” My take from the two wards is that the voters must be careful with their choices, choices have consequences. ” Governor Kingi said.
Constituency returning officer Jumaa Musa approved the nomination of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party’s, Reuben Mwamure Katana and David Mitsanze of Kadu Asili party.
Others cleared include Abdulrahman Omar Mohamed(Abdhere) who is defending his seat as an independent candidate and  Joseph Ngumbao Kiponda(Jossepe) of the Jubilee Party.
The battle for taking the seats in the wards back to ODM becomes tough as people start to refrain from the Orange party after Junk of  Nominated MCA’s were dumped in the county assembly.
