Maragwa legislator Mary Wamaua left the Azimio La Umoja National Convention at the Kasarani stadium in a tiff over likely harassment by plain cloth security men.
In a viral video, the lawmaker, associated to Deputy President William Ruto, had a vicious exchange of words at the VIP entrance.
She talked of the problem with the security men deployed at the event of mishandling her, despite being an elected leader.
“Mkifika state house itakuwa namna gani?…. Mimi mjumbe nimechaguliwa mnanisukuma kama gunia la viazi… Mtatupata Murang’a (How is it going to be like when you get to state house?… Am an elected leader but you are shoving me away like a sack of potatoes. You will meet us in Murang’a),” Wamaua lamented as she left the venue.
