The authority must regulate or ban soft loan apps because they are wrecking youths on Kazi Mtaani and paralysing them economically, Vihiga Deputy Governor Patrick Saisi requested treasury.
Nobody desires to be poor, therefore, youths are striving to put something in their pouches through the Kazi Mtaani initiative.
“The project was launched by the state to put money youths pockets after the Virus outbreak pandemic that left majority jobless,” Saisi said.
He was addressing youths in Hamisi sub-county at Muhudu ward where he joined Governor Wilbur Ottichillo who was inspecting the water project financed by the Belgian government.
He requested the relevant ministry to come up with another mode of payment so that youths can get access to their cash it is slashed off by soft loan ups.
Kazi mtaani has generated job opportunities to about 5,000 youths across the Vihiga county.
