Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege says the trees in Gituamba in Murang’a
county make the area colder and insecure, hence the need to cut them.

The Honorable Member added that the trees in Gituamba have been harbouring robbers as well as increased defilement cases in the area. 

To bring back Joy, Sabina urged the residents to them down. She further claimed trees shouldn’t be planted in the area.
