Kieni MP Kanini Kega dares Deputy President William Ruto ditching the Jubilee party if he is a political man strong enough.
The attacks come just days after the United Democratic Alliance(UDA) gazetted with a wheelbarrow as the party symbol.
Analysts claimed that the party had been established by Ruto associates who lost control of the Jubilee party after members in key house positions were de-whipped in a political disposition.
Speaking in Kieni, Mp Kanini Kega added that it is hypocritical of the DP to enjoy favours of his office granted under the Jubilee party while promoting activities of another party through proxies.
He asked DP Ruto to resign to direct all his strengths on his 2022 campaign machine.
While contrasting political parties to religion, Kega said that while most Christians profess devotion to one doctrine, the deputy president was posing as a Pentecostal in the morning and a Catholic in the afternoon.
The legislator said it is okay for politicians to re-align ahead of the 2022 showdown. The formation and promotion of a political party by Ruto allies was an indication that they had parted with Jubilee.
He also asked the registrar of political parties to take action, explaining that it is illegal to belong to two parties.
However, the DP allies reacted to the allegations saying the Deputy President is associated with UDA party. They asked Kega to provide evidence of party membership.
