Stephen Maloba, MCA for Kisa East |
Stephen Maloba, MCA for Kisa East, passed away after political differences with a legislator.
Ayub Savula, the deputy governor of Kakamega county, made this announcement on Saturday, April 1, 2023, while addressing Farouk Kibet’s Thanksgiving celebration in Malava, Kakamega.
According to the DG, a disagreement between the MCA’s camp and that of Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka led to the stabbing murder of the independent candidate for the MCA, who ran in the August 2022 general election and won.
Samuel Kogo of the Khwisero OCPD also confirmed the event, but he said that more information will come out later.
“While we would prefer to, we are unable to remain longer. Sorry about that. Recently, an MCA in the Khwisero constituency died. Once a fight broke out between his group and an MP, he was stabbed, “Savula said.
Senator Boni Khalwale of Kakamega remarked that political indifferences were to blame for the MCA’s demise.
“The bombshell wrecked my excellent mood, which I had been in.” The other day, a young guy was murdered while having breakfast at my house.
“He was supposed to run on UDA, but instead he switched to KANU and won. They brutally murdered him. I’ll comfort them so as not to stir any more trouble, “said Khalwale.
“I apologise to our honourable visitor today, my deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua. Let us hurry, “Khalwale beseeched.
The politicians remained silent over what precipitated their argument.
