Mambo Kwa ground ni different. A health worker mistreated by Police even after giving the Police all the necessary documents. Mr Emmanuel Nehemiah Oyuge registration number 2942 found himself in the hands of Riruta Police officers beyond curfew hours. However, Health workers were exempted as per President Uhuru Kenyatta directive.

He was taken to Riruta Police station. He spent a night at the station and the following day he was taken to KMTC quarantine facility. The Police, however, decline to the move.

The Medical officer is now at KMTC quarantine facility and is expected to spend 14 days as directed by the head of state. During the interview, the medical officer did not connect what the police needed apart from Curfew pass, authorization letter and the Medical License.
” I was driving home at around 7.40 PM where Police stopped me. I handed over the documents. I told them that I’m from the hospital and I’m a medical worker as my shift was over, ” he narrated.
” I showed them the softcopy of my pass, they said I had contravened the curfew laws. I repeated that my shift was over until tomorrow at 6.30 am. They shouted that I’m contravening the curfew laws. I had another saying continue until he connects what we need, ” he added.
” I was thrown to the cells. I showed them my hardcopy pass but they insisted that i had contravened the curfew laws. They later needed the authorisation letter, I gave them and curfew pass but insisted that I had contravened the curfew laws, ” he concluded.

Who ever gave this cops the mandate to quarantine people messed big time. Let people be taken to court or an independent body consisting of lawyers,medics and police to look at the mater before being quarantined.— Kabììro. (@DNjugush) April 22, 2020

If this corona thing gets out of hand it will be the Police who will fan it. They have been rounding up people and sending them to isolation centres that have no plans on how to accommodate those dropped their.
