The Principal Secretary State Department for Housing and Urban Development Charles Hinga Mwaura declines any likelihood of funds misappropriation or graft in the continuing National Hygiene Programme, entitled Kazi Mtaani.

PS Hinga was replying to a citizen claiming that different scandal was loading in the Kazi Mtaani project.

“On this one, it won’t occur. If you find any, I am ready to be executed at Uhuru Park in broad daylight,” PS Hinga said.

Joshua Njenga was in a discussion reflecting on the revealed unexplained millions of Covid-19 donations.

“If you are disturbed by coronavirus billionaires, wait until you hear the story Kazi Mtaani billionaires. They are the same people but they have different names for their billions,” Njenga claimed.

The PS backed the project stating that the Government has now developed mechanisms to block any loopholes that may lead to theft.

“We have put some severe protection models to avoid any shenanigans. The EACC is already invited to investigate allegations of chiefs extorting cash from the youth.”

The dismissed allegations of financial breaches, nepotism, and nonpayment of wages in Kazi Mtaani.

The Project was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta on April 25 and conducted in slums from eight counties targeting unemployed youths.

The National Treasury allotted Sh10 billion to it which is now operating in all the 47 counties.
