Sen. James Orengo to be kicked out of all Senate committees follows MP Otiende Omolo

Siaya Senator James Orengo to be kicked out of any Senate committees by ODM after faulting BBI. The move comes after MP Otiende Omolo was kicked out of an influential committee. 

ODM leader Raila Odinga now moves to smash dissent in his Nyanza backyard, kicking out Siaya Senator James Orengo and MP Otiende Omolo analysts say could tear the party apart.

ODM on Tuesday kicked out Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo as vice-chair of the influential Justice and Legal Affairs Committee warning Senator Orengo.

Otiende and Orengo are ideological soulmates and have lately raised concerns on the BBI process saying they want to see amendments. 

The move on constitutional amendment provoked Raila and his inner circle the wrong way. Otiende even said the proposed 70 new constituencies are unconstitutional.

The two have the backing of some Nyanza lawmakers, mostly lawyers who seem to have retreated as Raila began to mercilessly crack the whip.
