Sky Garden scam: Vendors cry for supplying products to Sky Garden without payments for months

Sky Garden is still holding payments for its vendors and giving them lame excuses after a change of management. Sky Garden is an ecommerce site rivalling Jumia in the country.

Skygarden is an e-commerce app that is popular in Nairobi. It was formerly owned by a mzungu but was later sold to Lipa.

They operate in such a way that a vendor posts his or her product via the app, and when a client orders, the vendors are supposed to receive their money within 48 hours.

However, since the management changed, there’s been a problem. They haven’t paid vendors for like a month, even after requesting more products.

“Kazi ni kuitisha order, and they don’t send us our money. If you fail to do so, they will deduct Ksh. 2,000 from your account. We have tried reaching out to them, but all in vain.

“I hear they don’t even have an office. The admins who used to work for them aren’t answering our phones, and others have switched off.

“Kindly highlight this matter if possible. Here are a few screenshots,” one of the vendors told popular blogger Cyprian Nyakundi on the issue that arises after a change of management.
