Deputy President William Ruto allies have defended him against all odds. After the publication of the ” Man under siege” Nation newspaper, DP Ruto allies took their accounts on the matter citing Nation Media is now a gutter press(Githeri Media).
” People voted for William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta when they were facing Hague charges, not in CJ Maraga courts. People trusted them and gave them a second chance. Now the gutter press is busy tainting Ruto image so that they may block his 2022 ambition, ” Prof. Edward Kisiangani said.
” Ocampo case ended, and it was an international case. Now you want to taint him using the local corrupt courts, githeri media, investigative agencies and local politicians, ” he added.
Others also defended DP Ruto include Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen and National assembly majority leader Aden Duale.
” William Ruto will still ascend to power in 2022 because in Kenya tyranny of numbers counts. Even if a whole one community does not vote for him, other communities will vote for him. We do not need Luo votes or BBI to make Ruto the President, ” Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen said.
