Environment Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya is under scrutiny after calls are not getting through, citing that she is not working for the country but just a friend to the President.
She was not present even during the Nairobi River Commission launch, citing it as not her business, according to sources privy to the information.
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai also posted on X, “There is a CS for Environment called Soipan Tuya. She says she serves only as a friend to the president, and so mambo ya kazi, we shouldn’t ask her. She was not present even during the Nairobi River Commission launch.”
Social media users claim that now the government is getting exposed every day. Some said there would be nothing done to her as she is protected.
Wahila said, “Time we started calling out rouge leaders, @HonTuya. She should be at the firefront handling the flood mess, huyu pia impeachment.”
“Disappointing revelation from CS Soipan Tuya, admitting to prioritising friendship with the President over her environmental duties. Her absence from key events like the Nairobi River Commission launch raises concerns about her commitment to addressing critical issues,” Reuben Kalya said on X.
“Everything in this regime makes me confused… I wonder how MPs, who are the representatives of the people, end up approving these characters,” Drax said.
Even as the country faces a flood threat, the Cabinet Secretary has been absent.
