Josinter Anyango, the mother of 12-year-old Kennedy Onyango, who was killed during anti-government protests in Ongata Rongai, tearfully pleads with President William Ruto for the return of her son’s body, stating that police intercepted their funeral procession in Rusinga, Homa Bay County, and took his remains to Kirindo Mortuary in Mbita.

Josinter Anyango, the mother of Kennedy Onyango, who was killed during protests, has made a heartfelt appeal to President William Ruto for her son’s body, following a dispute with Denis Okinyi over her son’s paternal rights in Suba.

The ongoing disputes over the burial arrangements began earlier in the week, when a man came out, alleging to be the father of the late Onyango.

Speaking to a local media house on July 4, Denis Okinyi claimed that he was the father of the 12-year-old.

He argues that he was married to Anyango until 2015, when they divorced.

Okinyi now insists that he has paternal rights and seeks to bury Kennedy in their ancestral Suba home.
