President Uhuru Kenyatta directed the education CS George Magoha to implement the new curriculum. President Kenyatta said that the new curriculum will provide a solution to problems facing education in Kenya.
” We are working hard to get future Steve Jobs and Bill Gates from Kenya, ” he said.
“These people did not go to University. They did not have degrees. Today when they visit your country even the President prepares himself or herself, maybe something could land on him or her,” he added.
President Uhuru Kenyatta blamed the parents and the Universities for not directing learners to fruitful courses and faculties.
H.E. is right. One more masters degree does not necessarily improve your chances of a well paying job. Vijana, if you don’t see a way forward don’t run away. Jitafutie njia ya kuwa Jobs or Gates wa Kenya. pic.twitter.com/cSjsbfRpde— Ambassador Kyle McCarter (@USAmbKenya) August 17, 2019
