Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Boys High School has indefinitely closed due to alleged ethnic clashes between students. The police intervened, detaining some students. According to reports, the tension stems from the infiltration of new students. An official statement is pending.

Reports of unrest at Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Boys High School began on Thursday.

On Thursday, alleged ethnic clashes between students led to the indefinite closure of Dr. Ribeiro Parklands Boys High School.

According to reports, the unrest got so bad that the police had to step in and temporarily detain several students.

Mild clashes reportedly began the previous day (Wednesday) and are believed to stem from the increasing number of new students joining the school since last year, which has allegedly created tension among the student body.

The administration has yet to release an official statement. According to sources, it appears that Indian students are opposed to the increasing number of black students attending the school.

An inside source claims that the violence that has been building up since the start of the year, after the school administration reintroduced day school learning, is purely religious, pitting Christian students against their Muslim counterparts.

Another source claims that Indians have a strong sense of entitlement and avoid social interaction. Muslims, conversely, experience a sense of exclusion. Then there are kids from Eastlands who feel like they’re part of a gang. The problem is never addressed.
