Peter Ndegwa fingered for underwhelming Leadership at Safaricom and lying about an undersea network outage.
“Safaricom no longer innovates. When was the last time SAFARICOM produced a brilliant idea or product? That man hasn’t accomplished a single act of kindness.
“Not Jazzfest, not Fuliza, not Mshwari, not nothing to his name like his predecessors, and we don’t even speak to people anymore on calling customer care code 100,” @GSaruni posted on X.
“And he got on camera to lie about Sponge Bob under the sea 🌊 during the protests.” @NdukuWambua added in reference to Ndegwa’s lies on the internet outage on June 25th and 26th.
At the height of the Gen Z protests, Safaricom deliberately slowed down its internet connection, and the CEO, Peter Ndegwa, shamelessly lied on camera that the outage was the result of under-sea mechanical damage.
Global internet monitoring firms later confirmed that no such damage occurred, leaving Ndegwa with an egg on his face.
