A family spokesperson confirms Mombasa Cement owner Hasmukh ‘Hasu’ Patel’s death.
Hasmukh Patel, the proprietor of Mombasa Cement Company, passed away in a Mombasa hospital on Thursday. He had been 58 years old.
Hasuu, the millionaire cement manufacturer, apparently had stomach issues for two days. When he arrived at the hospital, they declared him dead.
A family spokesman, Samir Bhalo, confirmed the death and stated that funeral arrangements are still in progress.
Many deeply mourned Patel, a generous businessman who touched countless lives. Patel’s Hasmukh Patel Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving students all over the country.
Additionally, he has backed numerous humanitarian projects in a variety of industries, including advocating for environmental preservation.
Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir expressed sympathy, saying, “Patel will be remembered for his active participation in society affairs in Mombasa as well as his generous support for the underprivileged.”
The billionaire established one of Kenya’s biggest cement companies. He was a highly successful industrialist. In addition, he oversaw the operations of Uganda-based Tororo Cement and Kenya’s corrugated iron sheeting.
