A source has revealed troubling developments at Proteq Automation Ltd, where one of the bosses is allegedly mistreating casual workers by withholding their salaries.
Attempts to raise issues have led to hostile responses, with management resorting to verbal abuse and threats of immediate dismissal.
According to the source, departments are subject to heavy-handed micromanagement, with workers feeling constantly watched and unheard.
“They tell us we’re just disposable,” one worker who spoke to us under the request of anonymity claimed.
“If you speak up, they show you the door. No discussion,” another added.
They say that management maintains a tight grip on every department, with constant micromanagement driving employees up the wall.
The affected workers are now calling on relevant bodies such as the Ministry of Labour, KUDHEIHA, and the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) to step in and investigate the company’s conduct.
“All we want is fair treatment and our rightful dues,” urged one employee. “We need authorities to protect us and force this company to follow the law.”
