Ongoing legal disputes between two insurance service competitors have left Nairobi County health workers without essential health benefits.
The drawn-out court proceedings have trapped workers in the crossfire with heightened risks and uncertainty regarding a resolution.
“We are struggling without any medical coverage. It’s as though we’re on our own while the legal battles between competitors drag on. We never hear of such issues with other administrations,” one frustrated nurse shared.
“It’s been incredibly tough. We used to have better support under previous governors.” Another healthcare worker echoed similar sentiments: “Now, we have nothing while we wait for a resolution that seems far off.”
The county medics are now urgently seeking a resolution to the coverage issue, and they are calling on authorities to prioritize their demands and provide the necessary support to ensure their well-being while they continue to serve the community.
