Kabuda, a former matatu tout and viral TikTok, has been noticed by Kenyans for his flamboyant lifestyle and lavish spending habits. He is known for his enormous physical size and unique attitude.
To the surprise and suspicion of many, the online content producer recently disclosed that he spends at least Ksh7,000 a day on food, or Ksh210,000 a month.
“At least for a day, let’s assume that food costs Ksh7,000. During an interview, Kabuda revealed that her morning meal consists of whole bread, half a tray of eggs, and tea.
Kabuda also spoke about the largest meal he had ever had in one sitting: two sodas, three pizzas, a tray of pilau, and four whole chickens.
He remembered, “Sinia ya pilau na soda mbili, pizza tatu, nilikula kuku full nne.”
Kabuda’s reputation has grown through his work in Nairobi’s matatu sector, where his towering appearance and larger-than-life demeanor have made him a famous personality.
He gained notoriety by posting videos of himself dancing to Miondoko dances and yelling for people to get aboard his bus. These videos became viral on the internet.
In response to a question on his thoughts regarding his physique from an earlier interview, Kabuda said that he wouldn’t swap it for anything since it’s what makes him special and prosperous.
He claims that sustaining his image—which includes his noticeably protruding stomach—is crucial to his “brand.”
His opulent dining practices have only increased his notoriety.
“I adore this body that God has given me, and I accept myself as I am. Even though I’ve grown accustomed to it, body-shaming still occurs frequently. It’s not a huge problem, in my opinion. Even if you offend me, it will pass quickly. I don’t intend to reduce my weight.
Some Kenyans show sarcasm and excitement with his luxurious lifestyle, while others challenge the veracity of his assertions in light of the scandal involving his purported food spending to boost his popularity.
However, Kabuda seems unmoved and keeps enjoying the limelight.
