Mungai Eve, a content creator, has shared her thoughts on why she moved in with her former partner, Director Trevor.
According to Mungai Eve, having nowhere to go and poverty striking forced her into a come-and-stay marriage.
Mungai Eve denied rumours that she was in love while explaining why she moved in with Trevor.
The pair broke up in 2023, but Trevor made the news public when he took over their YouTube account in 2024 and announced the breakup.
Eve said in a conversation with a YouTube commenter that she didn’t love Trevor and that the only reason she shared a home with him was because she had to.
“At the moment, I’ve realised something that may cause misunderstandings for some. Situations often lead individuals, particularly young ones, into marriage or other partnerships.
“I didn’t want to stay at my parents’ house, and I had nowhere to go, so I ended up in a come-we-stay marriage.”
“We weren’t acquainted when I met them near the end of 2019,” the woman said.
“A lot of them are going through a phase where they’re figuring things out for themselves and meeting guys who are more capable than the ones they left behind.
“Without consciousness of oneself, individuals discover themselves in abusive relationships or marriages that negatively impact them and, in worst cases, mental health,” she said.
