As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepared to deliver his speech at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday, dozens of diplomats exited the hall in a show of dissent.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refuted media reports that he is holding peace talks with the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon.
The office also emphasized that the prime minister has not responded to the ideas put forth by the United States and France.
Israel began its massive bombing operation in the southern and eastern regions of Lebanon on Wednesday under the codename Northern Arrows.
The Ministry of Health in Lebanon reports that more than 1,500 people have died. As a form of retaliation, Hezbollah launched hundreds of missiles in the direction of northern Israel.
A series of explosions that occurred in Lebanon on September 17 and 18 resulted in over forty deaths and approximately three thousand and five hundred injuries.
Pagers and walkie-talkies caused these explosions.
