Respected Resident Magistrate at the Milimani Commercial Courts Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga confirmed dead.
On October 20, Chief Justice Martha Koome released a statement revealing the death of Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga, a resident magistrate of the Milimani Commercial Court.
According to Koome, Jalenga passed away early in the morning of Sunday, October 20, 2024, after a protracted illness.
CJ Koome made the following statement: “It is with a profound sense of loss and sadness that I announce the death of Hon. Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga, Resident Magistrate, Milimani Commercial Court.
“The death of Hon. Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga took place early on October 20, 2024, after a long illness that she bravely endured.”
She claimed that the magistrate served the nation diligently and in accordance with the Constitution at all times.
“During her time serving in the judiciary, Rashid demonstrated an overwhelming dedication to the cause of justice and the rule of law.
“She diligently worked by the principles outlined in the Constitution to serve our nation,” Koome stated.
In addition, Chief Justice Koome sent messages of sympathy to her family and friends on behalf of the whole judicial system.
Koome made the statement, expressing his deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and loved ones. “I extend my deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and loved ones,” she added.
“We pray that the Almighty God gives us the strength to persevere through this difficult time and that he grants her soul the serenity that surpasses all comprehension.”
