Through their umbrella organization, Clergy Against the Control and Regulation of Churches in Kenya, the group called out the head of state for prioritizing church donations over addressing key national concerns.
The 30 Pentecostal churches in Kenya have publicly criticized the administration of President William Ruto, alleging issues like corruption, abductions, and nepotism.

Roman Catholic bishops in Kenya first voiced their criticism of the government for what they described as unexplained killings, abductions, and disappearances in the nation, particularly the murder of women.
