Free deposits and withdrawals as Airtel partners with Naivas

Airtel Money is today delighted to partner with Naivas Supermarkets to enable customers to deposit and withdraw money in all of Naivas’ 109 branches countrywide.

Airtel Money Kenya has entered into a collaboration with Naivas Supermarket, which will enable Airtel Money clients to deposit and withdraw cash from any of Naivas’s locations throughout the nation.

The transaction is a part of Airtel Money’s proactive plan to extend its agent base and get closer to the client. This raises the level of competition for customers with Safaricom’s M-Pesa.

Ms. Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, the Managing Director of Airtel Money, said that the cooperation would considerably strengthen their continuing efforts to provide access to financial services for their clients via their Mobile Money platform. She made this statement while speaking during the signing ceremony.

“We are pleased to announce that today represents a big milestone for us, as we have joined forces with Naivas Supermarket in order to provide our consumers with increased convenience,” said Ms. Anne Kinuthia-Otieno.

This agreement demonstrates Airtel Money’s dedication to broadening our customer base and making sure that our services are readily available to as many people as possible.

By providing services for cash deposits and withdrawals in Naivas locations around the country, we are not only bolstering our presence, but we are also reiterating our commitment to providing financial solutions that are both hassle-free and economical via our Mobile Money platform.

In addition, as part of the current “Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign,” clients who do business at the Naivas branches will be able to advantage of free withdrawal services.

Beginning in December last year, this program reimburses withdrawal transaction costs in the form of Airtel airtime for each completed withdrawal.

For instance, if a client withdraws Ksh1,000 and pays a Ksh25 withdrawal fee, they will receive Ksh25, which they can use for airtime, data bundles, or SMS. This occurs due to the deduction of Ksh25 from their account.

Mr. Ashish Malhotra, the managing director of Airtel Kenya, stressed the significance of the cooperation in terms of its alignment with the company’s aim to promote the comfort of its customers.

“We feel that this relationship with Naivas Supermarket is opportune and corresponds with our aim to give exceptional convenience. We will leverage our network development to make this partnership possible.

According to Malhotra, “At Airtel Kenya, we are working to ensure that all of our customers have access to both affordable services and strategic partnerships such as this one, which play a critical role in reaching that goal.”

Airtel Money clients will be able to deposit and withdraw cash in an effortless manner across all 109 Naivas locations, according to Mr. Peter Mukuha, Chief of Operations for Naivas International.

He went on to say that this relationship improves accessibility and ease; hence, it provides clients with enhanced financial services that are seamless.

“This move is in perfect alignment with our ethos,” Mr. Mukuha added. “We are here to improve the lives of others. Our relationship with Airtel Money demonstrates our dedication by ensuring the smooth and simple execution of all financial transactions.

“It is a source of immense pride for us that our partnership serves as a demonstration of our commitment to enhancing the lives of our valuable clients.”
