This week, a “wealthy” MCA from Murang’a County, who just a few days ago was mocking his poor voters, found himself pleading for funds to cover his medical expenses after being diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that has left both of his lungs failing.
Social media users were quick to remind him of his earlier posts where he belittled those struggling to make ends meet, with some questioning how it felt to now be in need of the very people he once looked down upon.
Murang’a MCA Hon. Mark G. Wainaina succumbs to a severe pulmonary disease that led to the failure of both his lungs.
Prior to his death, Wainaina had been forced to seek financial help for medical expenses, with his fundraising event scheduled for Friday, November 15th.
Kenyans also expressed their opinions on social media as they mourned the MCA.

“That’s how we feel when we lost our friends and family members through hospital strikes and Shi Sha fake projects; people are also dying day and night because of lacking care in our hospitals,” Ochieng posted on X.
