A fight against Kithure Kindiki is going to take place during Nelson Havi’s stint as Deputy President, according to disclosures made by the attorney.
Following the swearing-in ceremony for Kindiki, Havi issued a statement on X in which he wished him well as he entered his new post.
However, he pointed out that the same individuals who were instrumental in his rise to power would be working against him.
“I want to take this opportunity to wish Kindiki Kithure the best of success in his new role as Deputy President. For a number of different reasons, I say luck. The prayers of his predecessor were not effective. In my opinion, God does not pay attention to prayers that are dishonest.
According to Havi’s opinion, “Further, he will be attacked by the same people that pushed him as far as he has come.”
The judgement of the High Court to overturn a conservatory injunction that had delayed Kindiki’s inauguration made it possible for him to take the oath of office as Deputy President on Friday.
This decree was first issued as a result of a legal challenge brought forth by his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, who was impeached owing to claims of malfeasance.
Justices Eric Ogola, Freda Mugambi, and Anthony Mrima emphasised the need of maintaining succession in the position of the deputy president, stating that if conservatory orders were in place, the office of the DP would be empty.
