Light Of God Bishop Micah Kenga, 107, death, Kilifi mourns

Bishop Micah Kenga, who was 107 years old, had passed away after a long illness. He was buried today at his home in Kilifi North. He was the founder of the Light Of God ministry and was a respected leader in the evangelical community since the early 1960s.

The people of Kilifi are celebrating his life, and many leaders have come together with the church and his family to share their condolences and support at the Light of God headquarters in TEZO.

They are making plans for his funeral, which will take place on Saturday, January 11th.

Leaders and members of the Light of God Evangelism Church gathered to honour Archbishop Dr. Micah Kenga. Some of the leaders present included Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro and local MP Owen Baya.

Bishop Kenga was known for his strong views on marriage, believing that African traditions do not support same-sex marriages, and he openly spoke against them.

He reflected on a statement made by President Obama during his visit to the country when the president said that homosexuality is a human right and should be respected. Bishop Kenga’s words show how deeply he felt about these issues.

Mother and joyful journalist.
