Questions are swirling around the Bungoma County Government after Governor Kenneth Lusaka’s administration completed a Ksh 5.6 million Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classroom in Bumula Ward.
Residents have expressed shock and disappointment, alleging the structure falls far below acceptable standards for a project of its budget.
The building, intended to serve the community’s youngest learners, has been criticized for its simplicity and lack of proper amenities, with some calling it an outright misuse of public funds.
Locals gathering at the site described the project as a “missed opportunity” calling on the county leadership to account for how the hefty funds were allocated.
The ECDE classroom now stands as a symbol of what many are calling misplaced priorities in the region.
The move recalled memories where the same governor bought non-carcinogenic wheelbarrows each at 110,000. People on social media claim that they knew he was corrupt and voted for him twice… They are fine with him.
