UDA regrets, now wants Rigathi Gachagua back in a new role

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is likely to make a political comeback in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party after some party members now regret removing him.

According to information shared by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, Gachagua might be brought back to UDA before the 2027 elections.

This news comes after he was removed from his position as Deputy Party Leader, which is now held by two deputy party leaders, Kithure Kindiki (1st Deputy Party Leader) and Issa Timamy (2nd Deputy Party Leader).

Barasa mentioned during a church service that Gachagua might need some time to “recover” before he is accepted back into the party. This suggests that by 2027, he could be welcomed back.

There are also hints that Gachagua might be given a new role in UDA or even a government position, showing how changing and sometimes forgiving Kenyan politics can be.

This development has led to conversations on social media, with people expressing both doubts and hopes about Gachagua’s possible return to UDA and what he might do for the party in the future.
