On Valentine’s Day 2025, a student from the University of Nairobi (UoN) went to Kisii University to surprise his girlfriend, but things took a surprising and violent turn.
He arrived at her small apartment with gifts, thinking she would be happy to see him.
However, instead of a warm welcome, he found another man there, described as a “local man,” and he was not wearing a shirt.
The UoN student meant to give his girlfriend a nice surprise, but he was shocked to see her with someone else.
This caused a heated argument between the two men.
The argument quickly became a physical fight, and in the end, the UoN student had bruises from the clash.
This incident shows how complicated relationships can be in a university environment, where students from different schools might meet in social situations or have romantic interests.
