Inside Proposed Sh1.2billion Jesus Winner Ministry Church, Roysambu

A big plan to build a new church for Bishop Edward Mwai’s Jesus Winner Ministry, roysambu is making news after President William Ruto pledged Sh 100 Million. The church is expected to cost around Ksh1.2 billion, which is about $9.3 million USD.

This announcement, from Bishop Edward Mwai’s ministry, has started many conversations on social media.

The new church will be located in Roysambu, Nairobi, and will be a place for the ministry’s growing members to gather and worship.

Sources from the church say the new building will have many modern features, like a large auditorium that can hold 10,000 people, broadcasting studios, and spaces for community activities.

However, the Ksh1.2 billion cost has surprised some people, especially with the struggles Kenya is facing, such as high living costs and unemployment.

Some critics on social media have raised concerns about where the money is coming from. One person shared a post saying, “Ksh1.2B for a church when schools and hospitals are falling apart? Where is this money coming from? #JesusWinner.”

Others think that support from the church’s members, both in Kenya and abroad, might help finance the project.

President William Ruto has already promised to contribute Ksh 100 million and has given Ksh 20 million so far for this project.

He explained, “People often criticize me for giving to the church. When we give to God, it is not about a person. The offerings go to God, not to the bishop or the people.”

The President also mentioned that he and his friends will help raise another Ksh 100 million for the church.

“I will personally give Ksh 20 million. We will work together to raise funds. I will organize with my friends, and we will get Ksh 100 million. We will build this church to show our strength,” he added.
