Tweep Jumuiyan dies after commenting Elachi’s son’s death

Online activist James Awandu, widely known by his aliases Jem Guru and Jumuiyan, has been found dead in his home in Ngong in what authorities suspect may have been a suicide.

The discovery was made on Wednesday night, sending shockwaves through his online community and beyond.

The man died just less than 24 hours after a comment online talking about the death of MP Beatrice Elachi’s son.

Sources claim that something was very fishy with all the posts netizens saw when they searched “Jumuiyan” on Facebook, almost 50 different accounts saying the same thing. It looks like it was a coordinated move, with some starting to delete them.

Awandu’s body was reportedly found by residents and was transferred to a nearby mortuary, where an autopsy is scheduled to take place on Thursday to determine the exact cause of death.

Police have yet to release an official statement, but preliminary reports suggest suicide as a possible explanation.

The activist, a prominent figure on social media, was known for his outspoken commentary on various issues.

His sudden death has left followers and friends mourning, with tributes pouring in online. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

The autopsy for online activist James Awandu, aka Jem Guru/Jumuiyan, has been postponed to tomorrow. Family members are travelling from Kibaoni, Kilifi, where he hails from, to witness or participate in the autopsy process.
