Catholic priest Father Alois Cheruiyot Bett murdered in Kerio Valley

A Catholic priest named Father Alois Cheruiyot Bett was killed by suspected bandits in the Tot area of Kerio Valley, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

The local police commander, Peter Mulinge, confirmed this sad news. The police are currently working to find the people responsible for this crime.

Father Bett was known for his helpful work in the community and was shot by armed attackers. The reason for this attack is still not clear.

This incident adds to the growing problems of violence in Kerio Valley, where banditry and cattle theft are common.
