Al-Duhail SC has announced that Moroccan player Hakim Ziyech is leaving the team. His contract with the team has ended.
The club shared the news on their official channels, saying that Ziyech’s contract finished at the end of the 2024–2025 season, and he will not be continuing with the team.
Ziyech, who is 31 years old, joined Al-Duhail in January after he left Galatasaray in Turkey. He joined Al-Duhail without a transfer fee.
Throughout his career, Ziyech has played for many teams since starting in 2015.
These teams include Heerenveen, Twente, and Ajax in the Netherlands, Chelsea in England, and Galatasaray in Turkey. This season, he played 11 matches for Galatasaray.
While at Galatasaray, Ziyech participated in five matches in the Turkish Super Lig, three in the Europa League, two in the Champions League qualifiers, and one in the Turkish Cup.
At Al-Duhail, he played nine matches in the Qatar Stars League and scored one goal.
This season, Al-Duhail finished in second place in the Qatar Stars League. They lost in the final of the Qatar Cup to Al-Sadd and were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Emir Cup by Al-Rayyan.
