Actress Dorea Chege and her husband, DJ Dibul, are once again in the news for their romance, but this time the drama is centred around claims of domestic violence.
This year, the marriage has made news many times, mostly due to accusations of Dibul’s adultery, which Dorea has always denied.
Why are DJ Dibul and Dorea Chege popular?
The most recent drama started on writer Edgar Obare’s Instagram page, where followers posted accusations and queries alleging that Dorea has been abusing Dibul physically.
According to some unnamed reports, their arguments even became so bad that the police were called in.
According to one fan:
“I’ve known them for a long time, so dibul na yeye hutandikwa appropriately. Prior to Aanze Kuchapwa, Kuna siku alichunwa masikio kwa balcony.
Another was added:
“This Dorea and Dibul story, wameishi kupigana na wanapelekana hadi polisi, not at the same time.”
How did Dorea and DJ Dibul respond to the accusation?
Dibul responded to the rumours by defending his spouse on Instagram Stories.
“You go on social media these days and discover that you are the most popular subject. Have you ever been in the spotlight and had no idea what it was? In any case, Padre is doing OK,” he wrote.
Dorea responded to the accusations a few hours later as well, posting a gorgeous image along with the following caption:
“Lies cannot blur my shine; I’m too bright.”
In response to a fan’s question in the comments on why she reportedly attacked Dibul, Dorea clearly stated:
“Where did he say he was beaten up?”
