"They were just armed youths that were given by DP Ruto to fight Bandits, not KPR." Says Lonyang'apuo

Deputy president William Ruto was today alleged for spreading rumours about cattle rustling in Rift Valley. According to  Hon Prof John Lonyang'apuo, the DP took youths arming with guns to invade another community in a shot and Kill order.

Prof Lonyang'apuo said "What the Dp did was not according to the constitution. He armed 240 youth from one community to fight to other community. The youths were taken on 25/02/2017 and were returned on 27/02/2017 with official GoK guns to fight the other community with the name of KPR. He even gave them and order of shoot to kill in order to finish the other community."


There has been a battle over the Samburu, Kipsigis, Marakwet and Pokot fighting against each other for grazing space and social amenities. People have been dying following cattle theft and house torture.

The government has failed to follow the armed gangs who it is alleged that the own guns which were distributed by the former president Daniel Moi when they were fighting for other opposition parties not to affect KANU regime in either way. They were also distributed in order to have enough security in their community land.
